The Tanto was often designed as a short sword or knife depending on its use. When used in battle it was used with a heavily curved Tachi or the smaller Wakisashi. Above all the Tanto was mostly used for slashing. However could also be used in the thrusting style.

It will hold its edge extremely well and look good as well! it is made from 8Cr18Mov grade stainless steel. and the hilt and pommel are made from copper plated stainless steel so rust will not be a problem. Being Full tang (The blade goes all the way to the pommel) it is extremely strong.
